Griff Just Released a New Single and You Have to Hear It
Warner Records artist, Griff, released her new single “Forgive Myself” and it is a must-hear.
“Forgive Myself” is featured on A-List pop on Apple Music. It also made it onto Spotify’s new releases page. Griff stated in her Instagram story that she “wrote this [song] about how I think sometimes you can find yourself trusting in the wrong things or the wrong people and in order to move on from that you need to kind of forgive yourself.” Listen to her new song below.
Griff is from a village just outside of London. With a Chinese/Jamaican heritage and multiple foster children coming in and out of her home, she has learned a lot in her young life so far. She has quickly grown to embrace her differences both in her music and her life. Her lyrics speak wisdom far beyond her years. Watch this video of her below trying to live stream in her house full of many people due to quarantine. It is so genuine and real.
Griff is a one-woman show, she writes her own music and enjoys telling stories or talking about the world. Whenever she performs, she feels empowered getting to share her music with others. Songwriting is a way for her to escape and write about what is on her mind. It has always been a hobby of hers and she hopes to make it into a career one day.
You definitely have potential, Griff. Keep expressing yourself and making killer music.
Hi! I am Hannah Forton pursuing a double major in Communications and Music Industry. I love traveling, sports, cooking, music, Broadway, movies, DIY, make-up, clothes, and tutorials. Some of my favorite work experiences includes an internship at a recording studio and working at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Helping and educating others is important to me, and I’ve enjoyed being able to do so through volunteering for numerous non-profits since middle school. I like the big city vibes, but small towns will always hold a special place in my heart. Living near Detroit allows me to achieve the best of both worlds.
