Five Seconds of Summer’s Michael Clifford is using every platform possible to support Black Lives Matter and bring justice in the name of George Floyd.

Michael Clifford took some time to gather his thoughts, educate himself, and dive into the correct resources before taking to social media to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

“I didn’t want to follow the pattern of: another tragedy, another hashtag, another RT, another petition, another donation repeat cycle,” he wrote this past Sunday in a tweet, outlining why he did not immediately pen a response to the tragedies unfolding in the United States.

The multifaceted performer concluded his statement with a heartfelt note to not just his fans and followers, but to the Black community as a whole, writing “I’m with you. I’m listening. I’m learning. I’m here for you. I’ll never be silent again. I want to be an educated ally.”

He did not stop there, though, as he followed his message up with ten different links to educational resources, various petitions, and African-American-run and supportive organizations.

Michael is also using his community text line as a direct connection to fans who might be looking for a trustworthy assortment of ways to support Black Lives Matter.
