The biggest boy band in the world has something to say about the Black Lives Matter movement, and you’re going to want to hear it.
BTS has amassed a huge following over the past few years, and with their popularity and influence, they have been actively bringing attention to important issues such as mental health, bullying, and toxic societal conventions. From the very beginning, the septet has promoted themselves as a voice for the youth, a “bulletproof” force that fights against the injustices of the world.
So, it is no surprise to us that they spoke out about the Black Lives Matter movement that has been taking America, and now the world, by storm. On Thursday, the group took to Twitter to share this important message with their fans:

The group’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, said that BTS will also be giving a donation to an anti-racism activist group but did not disclose the name of the organization or the amount of money.
Following BTS’s lead, other Korean icons are also speaking out in support of this movement. K-pop stars like Crush and Jay Park have used their social media to raise awareness and show their allyship. On Tuesday, Jay Park took to Instagram to announce a donation of $21,000 to the Black Lives Matter organization, which was made possible by a joint effort between him, his fellow artists, and the label they all work under.
We are so proud to see international stars like BTS and Jay Park using their platforms to spread awareness and show their support of this powerful movement, and we hope to see more celebrities continue to do the same.
