Selena Gomez Inspiring Fans to Speak up on the Black Lives Matter Movement
After the death of George Floyd, Selena Gomez decided to use her social platform to inspire her fans, and stand up against injustice.
Gomez is a Latin artist who first made her debut into the industry by staring in the show Wizards of Waverley Place on Disney Channel. Later on in her career, she ventured off into music and has become a pop music sensation world-wide.
Recently, Gomez has started using her platform to bring awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement after the death of Floyd.
Gomez went on Instagram and expressed the anger and frustration she was feeling after he was brutally murdered by police. She then tells fans that they need to speak up and let their voices be heard.
After her initial response to the injustice going on in America, Gomez tells fans that she will have black influencers take over her Instagram to further speak up. Gomez will also be highlighting black influencers on her page who might not be available to speak.
