See How Jay-Z Is Helping the Lawyers Representing Ahmaud Arbery
Jay-Z offers to help the lawyers representing Ahmaud Arbery attend a court hearing by lending them his private jet.
With no flights available for Thursday’s court hearing, the attorneys that represent Ahmaud Arbery assumed they would not be able to attend. Once Jay-Z got involved, attending the meeting became much more realistic.

Can’t even begin to explain how instrumental Jay Z and Roc Nation have been in helping get progress in this case and many others. pic.twitter.com/fw8PNsDqEv— S. Lee Merritt, Esq. (@MeritLaw) June 3, 2020
Arbery was a 25-year-old black man who was shot and killed earlier this year while he was out for a jog. To gain justice for Arbery, Jay-Z and his people at Roc Nation rented out a private jet to Blerim Elmazi and S. Lee Merritt, the team of lawyers representing the deceased young man in court.
Elmazi took to Instagram to share with the world what Jay-Z was doing for him and his partner. Posting a photo of him and Merritt in front of the jet, Elmazi says they are “thankful for their support.”
“No flights to take us there last night,” he wrote. “I spent hours trying to find flights or cars. At 1 am we started losing hope till we got a call from Jay-Z’s people at Roc Nation.” The two men are extremely thankful for all Jay-Z’s support and told their followers that they will soon post updates on the hearing.
