Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ Is Set to Premiere on Netflix
‘Cobra Kai’, the spinoff series of ‘The Karate Kid’ is officially moving to Netflix. Previously, the first two seasons of ‘Cobra Kai’ were originally made available to those who had access to YouTube Premium. As of now, YouTube is out of the scripted business and the platform is now relying on an ad-supported framework instead of a subscription-based model. With this drastic change, the show was in search of a new platform to pick up the 3rd season, and Netflix warmly welcomed the beloved series to its platform.

‘Cobra Kai’ has been widely praised for being one of the few rare sequels to be equally as exceptional as the original series. Since its debut back in 2018, the show has been applauded for including the main casts from the first Karate Kid film, and hailed the new cast members for their superb acting skills.
Netflix Vice President of Original Series Brian Wright kindly welcomed the series to the platform and expressed his excitement, stating, “The appeal of The Karate Kid saga is timeless, and Cobra Kai picks up right where it left off without missing a beat. The rivalry between Daniel and Johnny is one for the ages, and the show has a ton of heart and is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to introduce a new generation of fans to Cobra Kai and are thrilled to be its new home around the world.”
The release date for season 3 hasn’t been announced yet, but the first 2 seasons are still available for everyone to binge on YouTube Premium.
