Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is the story of two childhood friends who pursue their dream of winning Europe’s famous song contest.

Fire Saga’s Lars and Sigrit are one of Iceland’s contenders to compete in the finals at Eurovision Song Contest. Along the way, they go up against contenders such as Katiana (played by Demi Lovato), and Russia’s top contender Alexander Lemtov. Throughout their journey, they experience the most unfortunate obstacles that make them question their chances of winning the competition. With catchy music that will undoubtedly be added to our playlists, this comedy is everything we need to get through quarantine. Since the film was released on Friday, June 26, the soundtrack on Spotify has received over 8 thousand likes.

Co-writer Will Ferrell became inspired after viewing the Eurovision Song Contest, broadcasted in Europe and is the world’s longest-running musical television series, introduced to him by his Swedish-native wife in 1999. Since then, Ferrell has been hooked on the European sensation, attending the competitions, and learning about the process of how musicians prepare for the big night. Some of Eurovision’s most talented contestants make a cameo in the film and bring the magic of the contest show to the film.
