Sandra Oh Speaks up About The Lack of Diversity on Set
The actress of Killing Eve and Grey’s Anatomy denounced the lack of diversity on set.
Sandra Oh and Kerry Washington had a long talk about the characters they’ve played on TV, specifically, the lack of diversity. Sandra opened up to Kerry about U.K TV shows lacking diversity and expressed her frustration saying, “‘Sometimes it would be me and 75 white people!” She also noted that surprisingly, the U.S is a step ahead of the U.K in terms of diversity as “the development of people behind the camera is very slow in the UK.
Oh also talked about her relationship with Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey’s Anatomy, and how she was able to have direct the character she had as Christina Yang.
I love it when the #TGIT fam comes back together. @IamSandraOh, you are a dream to work with and a dream to interview.

In this chat with Washington, Sandra Oh proved this is a major issue affecting not only the U.S. – the whole world needs to be more inclusive and representative of its population! Actors and actresses should keep speaking up, and advocating for change.
