Peyton List Promotes Defeat by Tweet to Increase Voter Turn Out
Peyton List wants you to donate to Defeat by Tweet, the organization that uses Trump’s tweets against him.
Apparently, every time President Donald Trump tweets it will be used against him. According to ABC News, “A group of Democratic activists and organizations have partnered to launch a super PAC called Defeat by Tweet, which aims to use President Donald Trump‘s Twitter habit against him.” Essentially, your change for change.
Peyton List posted to her Instagram July 1st, 2020 encouraging her 16.4 million followers to join in and contribute. Her post slide’s read to defeat “inequality,” “brutality,” “climate change denial” and even, “nonsense.” List begins her caption with “People sign up to make a micro-donation every time Trump tweets. (anything even as small as a penny it adds up).”
The star made a second post the same day via Instagram to “defeat hate speech” captioned, “it’s not just the moment it’s the movement.” let’s follow through and show up in November. #defeatbytweet.”

Defeat by Tweet enables users to donate between 1 cent and 10 cents for every time Trump tweets. Every donation will be made in the president’s name and be directly contributed directly to the Justice Fund, “a group of 15 Black-led political organizations with the intention of thwarting Trump’s reelection chances.” Color of Change PAC, The Collective, Black Voters Matter Fund, and other “similar political and social justice reform groups, especially those focused in swing states such as Michigan and Arizona,” are included in the campaign, according to ABC News.
The organization debuted its first Instagram post on June 25, 2020.
