Kehlani Held a Drive-In Concert in Malibu: It Was “Special and Very Futuristic”
Kehlani partnered with Audi and performed the first drive-in summer concert in Malibu, California.
Kehlani, whose full name is Kehlani Ashley Parrish, hosted the concert to raise money for the frontline healthcare workers in Los Angeles. While Kehlani could not high-five her supporters or perform like she always does due to COVID-19 health guidelines, the fans were still able to enjoy Kehlani’s iconic performance.
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter is known for her R&B/soul style. Some of her tracks, such as “Gangsta” and “The Way,” have crossed 300 million and 70 million views on YouTube, respectively. She has previously collaborated with artists like Chance the Rapper, Keyshia Cole, Jhené Aiko, Calvin Harris, Lil Yachty, Musiq Soulchild, Zedd, and Ty Dolla $ign. Recently, Kehlani released her newest single, “Bad News (Quarantine Style),” which has almost accumulated 1 million views in only under a week.

Some of the people who attended Kehlani’s drive-in concert were Gerrick D. Kennedy, Gabrielle Union, and Dwayne Wade. Kennedy writes that it was his first time seeing Kehlani perform in real-life and that he was stunned by her performance. Kehlani also reposted his tweet and responded. Take a look down below.

Some of Kehlani’s fans were disappointed because Kehlani never announced that she would be performing. Many were unable to attend because it was a private and limited-capacity event hosted by Audi.
