The Weeknd Dazes Fans With the Release of His New Music Video ‘Snowchild’
The Weeknd surprised fans by announcing the release of his new music video, “Snowchild,” hours before it’s launch.
The Weeknd has released the newest music video, “Snowchild,” off his fourth studio album, After Hours, across social media platforms.
In less than a month after releasing his first animated music video for “In Your Eyes,” featuring Doja Cat, the video has received over 6.5 million views. The Grammy Award-winning musician has been hard at work to deliver his second animated music video, released July 22nd. With slower beats than the previous release, “Snowchild” journeys through the musician’s different eras of his career. The video goes through the chronological looks from his Trilogy persona, then moves to his iconic Starboy look, to the present After Hours, wearing the distinctive red suit that has been seen throughout the music videos from the latest album.

Within less than 24 hours after its release, “Snowchild” has received over one million views on YouTube. Fans have flooded Twitter with unanimously positive reviews discussing the different references throughout the music video.
