 Pia Mia’s new song “Hot” is about to take over your summer playlists.

Even though Pia Mia released “Hot” on July 24, there is still a lot of time for the track to become one of the songs of the summer. The two and a half minute track is light and bouncy, the perfect song for those summer nights or while laying out at the beach. 

Pia Mia has always been sure to include her island roots in her music, whether it be a grass skirt in a music video or steelpan drums as percussion. Her fast-paced, sensual vocals throughout “Hot” fall right in line with her Guam background as what is known as an island sound.

“Boy, you got me fiending for you / Whatever you do don’t stop / You better make it feel hot.”

The artwork for “Hot” seems to be a take on a Vogue magazine cover, using the same font as the timeless publication and a stunning photo of the singer-songwriter tipping her hat at the camera.

“Hot” follows up Pia Mia’s last release, “Princess,” which dropped back in May and quickly became both a TikTok dance trend and a fan favorite song. Fans and critics alike are praising Pia Mia’s new song, with Variety naming it one of the best songs of the week and Polydor Records calling it “pop gold.”
