Fans Are Loving Taylor Swift’s ‘Cardigan’ Merchandise

It might be summer, but Taylor Swift has made cardigans trendy this season.

After releasing her eighth studio album, Taylor Swift quickly dropped merch inspired by folklore. This isn’t new for many Swifties, as Swift is known for selling merch directly related to her music. Some of her new merch includes standard album CDs, cassettes, and limited edition vinyls. Her other available traditional merch choices include T-shirts, hoodies, posters, phone cases, but there’s one specific item many fans are obsessing over: The cardigan.

Swift wore the same creamy color v-neck grandpa cardigan in her “cardigan” music video. Swift explained the song “cardigan” is about a long lost love and how the romantic relationship is like an old comfy cardigan. In a live Q&A session before the premiere of “cardigan,” Swift explained, “The song is about a lost romance and why young love is often fixed so permanently within our memories. Why it leaves such an indelible mark.”

Despite the melancholy tone of the first single, fans were still delighted that the cardigan is available for purchase. The cardigan comes with the digital standard album, and the total purchase $49. Swift also publicly gifted the cardigan to close friends and other celebrities. Some of her pals include Jennifer Hudson, Kesha, Martha Hunt, Loren Gray, and Natalia Bryant.
