Former Bachelor in Paradise contestant, Tayshia Adams, is set to replace Clare Crawley on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette

As far as we knew, Clare Crawley was up and ready to take on the role as the bachelorette in the next season of ABC’s The Bachelorette. While the cast and crew were ready to film in quarantine at a Palm Springs resort, Crawley had other plans.

Just about two weeks in, Crawley claimed to find the love of her life, Dale Moss, during the first few weeks of filming, and being the Bachelorette was no longer an option.

According to E! News, the show will contain two different bachelorettes this season. The show will start off with Crawley, who soon leaves with the love of her life, and then that’s when Tayshia Adams jumps in. Adams, who appeared as a contestant on both The Bachelor and later on Bachelor in Paradise, will replace Crawley, making her the second bachelorette in the upcoming season.

Adams made her first appearance to Bachelor Nation back in 2019 during Colton Underwood’s season. On Bachelor in Paradise, the star pursued a relationship with John Paul Jones, which later ended in October of 2019.

Adams will also become the second Black Bachelorette. Amidst the Black Lives Matter movement, many viewers requested a more diverse group of the show’s leads and contestants. Earlier this summer, The Bachelor finally announced their first Black lead, Matt James.

What better way to add to the craziness of 2020 than to have two bachelorettes in one season? This unusual and quarantined season in Palm Springs seems just fitting for the year we’ve been having.

We wish Adams all the best on her search to find love.
