Priya Krishna, Sohla El-Waylly and Rick Martinez have announced their departure from the popular cooking series after unfair treatment.

Bon Appétit’s Test Kitchen just lost three of their employee’s of color after they all spoke up about receiving unfair treatment in the workplace. Priya Krishna, Sohla El-Waylly and Rick Martinez are all leaving the popular series after weeks of fighting to be given compensation that is equal to some of their white co-workers.

Priya Krishna is an Indian-American food writer and YouTube star who appeared frequently on Bon Appétit’s Test Kitchen. Krishna posted on twitter explaining her experience with the company. In her post, she details that she has not been earning fair compensation since she began filming videos with the company back in 2018.

Rick Martinez, a Mexican American cook and writer, shared on his Instagram story that he has seen no progression of equality at Bon Appétit after being told repeatedly for months that there would be changes made.

Sohla El-Waylly plans to remain with the company to create and share recipes, but will no longer be producing videos for their YouTube channel.

Fans of the show are not happy to hear about this mistreatment, but they are glad the three stars have spoken up during these times.

Many fans agree that a change needs to be made.

Hopefully, after these events, the show will make a change.
