The Video for Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘concert for aliens’ Is Here and You Need to Watch It at Least 10 Times
Machine Gun Kelly’s new music video for ‘concert for aliens’ is finally here, and it’s a three minute and 44-second journey, to say the least.
About a year ago, Machine Gun Kelly turned his rap career on its head and slowly started his expedition into becoming one of the biggest alternative rockers of 2020. The transition was surprisingly painless, having fans jump on board with his new sound almost instantly thanks to his hit alongside his good friends, musician Yungblud and Blink-182’s Travis Barker, “I Think I’m OKAY.”
MGK has now grown his following, catering to both the hip-hip lovers and the self-proclaimed emos of the world. The second single off of his upcoming full-length album, Tickets To My Downfall, is titled “concert for aliens” and dropped on August 4.

On August 13, after a slight delay due to a wardrobe malfunction (that can only be seen in the bloopers), the music video came out- and it’s the epitome of fun.
Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Richard Colson Baker, is a spiffy game show host whose program gets interrupted by a group of aliens, who at one point can be seen giving MGK a lobotomy. He goes from donning his game show suit, to a hospital gown, to an emo teenager, and to a “Sea-man” uniform. He gets kidnapped by his evil twin, suddenly has triplets at times, runs from a clown, and plays roulette with a bunch of colorful doors.

Travis Barker can be seen drumming along throughout the video, as he is not only the percussionist and producer for this song, but for MGK’s upcoming album as a whole.
The variety of exuberant, hilarious, and thought-provoking characters not only make this video one of Machine Gun Kelly’s best, but placing it alongside the alt. rock track itself and has surely solidified the singer-songwriter’s standing in the pop-punk universe.
The end of the music video is a blooper reel that is equally as endearing as it is ridiculous. It’s clear that working on this video was just as fun as it is for fans to sit back and watch.
Machine Gun Kelly’s “concert for aliens” music video is simply a wild and pastel themed adventure that perfectly captures the musician’s personality. Make sure to check out the music video on YouTube.
