Like Father, Like Son (2013) was described as a ” beautiful, melancholic paean to paternity movie” by The Guardian. This review proves Lulu Wang is the right director to bring this movie back since The Farewell also dealt with delicate family matters in a heart-wrenching, yet beautiful way. The film was actually based on Wang’s real-life experience with her grandmother’s illness.
