Demi Lovato launches a campaign to demand justice for Breonna Taylor.

On Thursday, the singer and actress celebrated her 28th birthday. She asked fans to join her in the fight for justice for Taylor.

On the site, Lovato wrote, “Breonna Taylor was wrongfully murdered and her murderers still walk free today. I am pledging to make a difference today and am asking my fans, friends, and family to join me.”

There are prewritten emails to the Louisville mayor and chief police, as well as links where you can sign petitions and donate. For anyone that participates in the campaign, they will have the opportunity to win pieces from Lovato’s wardrobe.

On what would have been Taylor’s birthday, June 27th, Lovato shared a picture of her, reminding us that she has still not gotten justice. Taylor was a 26 years old EMT when she was murdered. In March in Louisville, three officers broke into her apartment in an attempted drug sting and shot her eight times. Taylor’s family has filed a lawsuit towards the Louisville Metro Police Department. However, none of the officers have been charged and only one of them was fired.

Lovato isn’t the only celebrity demanding for Taylor’s justice. Oprah Winfrey has put up billboards around Louisville featuring a portrait of Taylor along with the lines “Demand that the police involved in killing Breonna Taylor be arrested and charged.”

Please participate in the campaign however you can and show your support for Taylor.
