Jaden Smith Reminisces About a Summer Love on His New Album ‘CTV3’
Rapper Jaden Smith is back with a new sound on his third studio album CTV3.
On Friday Smith released his highly anticipated album CTV3, or Cool Tape Volume 3, after heavy promo on social media. He first teased the album back in July with the release of the video for his first single “Cabin Fever.” Since then, fans have been eager to hear the rest of what CTV3 has to offer.
In mid-August, Smith released the tracklist for the album, revealing collabs with Raury on “Endless Summer” and “Falling For You” with his longtime friend Justin Bieber, only adding to the anticipation.
Smith, who now only goes by Jaden musically, chose a new sound for CTV3. The album features more acoustics and singing from the rapper, who typically makes rap tracks with upbeat hip-hop productions. This is also his first project without a collab with his sister Willow.

The album’s cover reflects the theme, with Smith lying in a field of flowers with a rainbow and the Los Angeles sunset behind him. The album revolves around a summer love, as Smith reminisces about a Southern California love story on songs like “In The Hills” and “Falling For You.”
Fans are loving Smith’s new sound, and he surely didn’t leave them disappointed. Many feel like it’s his best work yet, and they’re itching to hear his new songs live whenever it’s safe to attend concerts in person again.
