Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Campaign Launches Animal Crossing Yard Signs
Presidential nominee Joe Biden and vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris release yard signs on the Nintendo video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons for their voters to purchase.
Biden and Harris have taken campaign merch to a whole new level as they make their campaign signs available for virtual use. The video game is incredibly popular amongst young kids and teenagers and has only increased in popularity since the coronavirus pandemic began. By moving his campaign to a video game, Biden has been able to reach a whole new demographic- Generation Z, the youngest voters in the upcoming 2020 election.
Biden’s campaign digital marketing director, Christian Tom, told CNN his thoughts about the new political yard signs on Animal Crossing, “Animal Crossing is a dynamic, diverse, and powerful platform that brings communities together from across the world. It is an exciting new opportunity for our campaign to engage and connect Biden-Harris supporters as they build and decorate their islands.”
Tom detailed that there are four different signs available for purchase: one with a Biden-Harris logo, one with a Team Joe logo, one with a Biden Pride logo, and one with a picture of aviators on it.

The Trump campaign has not offered any of their own yard signs on Animal Crossing, although Trump’s deputy national press secretary, Samantha Zager, commented on Biden’s latest campaign move, “This explains everything: Joe Biden thinks he’s campaigning for President of Animal Crossing from his basement. The Trump campaign will continue to spend its resources campaigning in the real world with real Americans.”
We can’t wait to see the new and innovative ways that Biden and Harris continue to expand their influence and campaign. Make sure to vote this November, we know we will.
