Candice King Supports Justice for Breonna Taylor in Instagram Post
On Monday, The Vampire Diaries alum Candice King shared an Instagram photo of herself in an “ARREST THE COPS WHO KILLED BREONNA TAYLOR,” t-shirt.
King took to the social media platform to call for justice for Taylor, an Emergency Medical Technician who was murdered by members of the Lousiville Metro Police Department in her home on March 13. Since the murder, many celebrities have been vocal in their fight for justice for Taylor and her family.
“It’s been 6 months since Breonna Taylor was murdered in her home by Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove—and her killers have not been charged,” King wrote.
In King’s image, she is wearing a shirt created by Phenomenal Woman in partnership with the Breonna Taylor Foundation. The shirt, which calls for the arrest of the police that murdered Taylor, will donate all profits made to the foundation in her honor.
King has been vocal about her support of the Black Lives Matter movement in the past, officially citing her stance on social media in June, writing, “I stand with Black Lives Matter.”
In her post about Taylor, King also urged fans to “stay loud” in their demands of justice for Taylor and her family.
“Let’s stay loud, keep demanding justice for Breonna and her family, and SAY HER NAME,” King wrote.
