Taylor Swift Makes Her ACM Awards Return Performing Her Song ‘betty’

Last night, Taylor Swift made her return to the Academy of Country Music Awards stage after seven years.

After what seems like forever, Swift went back to her country roots by performing “betty” from her new album folklore. The song was also released to country radio.

Swift is the queen of switching music genres, having made her switch from country to pop nearly a decade ago. It is no shock that the artist is experimenting with a more indie-folk vibe. “Betty,” which is part of a trio of love songs on the album, definitely has the country sound to it that we all know so well.

Swift is no stranger to the ACM Awards. Before she became a pop star, she won ACM’s “Entertainer of the Year” twice, along with nine other awards.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the award show was held in Nashville for the first time in 55 years. Artists performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Bluebird Cafe, and the Ryman Auditorium.

This year Keith Urban hosted while artists like Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Gwen Stefani, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, and Kane Brown performed.

As always, Swift blew us away with her incredible performance. We loved getting to see her go back to her roots, and we can’t wait for more live performances from folklore.
