During Sunday nights Emmy Awards, the Watchmen cast and crew swept the Emmys with 11 total wins, including the prestigious “Outstanding Limited Series” title.

Watchmen stars Regina King and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II took home the victory in the best supporting actor and actress in a limited series or movie categories. This comes as Abdul-Mateen II’s first Emmy nomination and win.

The show also received “Best Writing in a Limited Series or Movie” for Cord Jefferson and Damon Lindelof’s work on the script.

The HBO limited series touched on current world issues such as police brutality, white supremacy, and institutional racism. Loosely based on the 1980s graphic novel by Alan Moore, the series quickly became a Sunday night hit for the platform.

For it’s highly acclaimed “Best Limited Series” title, Watchmen nabbed the win against fellow nominees Unorthodox, Mrs. America, Unbelievable, and Little Fires Everywhere.

The show, which had the most wins of the night, also took home a trophy for esteemed “Outstanding Casting” and “Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes.”

King, clad in a Breonna Taylor shirt, used her acceptance speech to urge viewers to vote.”Gotta vote. I would be remiss not to mention that, being a part of a show as prescient as Watchmen,” King said. “Have a voting plan, go to ballotpedia.com, vote up the ballot, please. Go to ballotpedia.com and find out who are voting in your municipal elections. It is very important.”
