Striking an uncanny resemblance to the Black Lives Matter Movement hashtag, Muslim Lives Matter has been trending all over Twitter, and here are the latest details on why.
The Uyghur Muslims are a group of people who practice Islam living in East Turkestan and have been persecuted by the Chinese authorities since 2017. The Uyghur Muslims have been living their own form of the Holocaust as Chinese authorities have placed these individuals in concentration camps in order to “cleanse them.” More details about specific numbers of the Uyghur people and what goes on in these concentration camps can be found on Twitter and on BBC.

Essentially, the Chinese authorities have been inflicting horrific violence on the Uyghur people in over 400 concentration camps. This has led to mass genocide prompted by islamophobia, which in turn has only raised the unbelievable death toll that 2020 currently has.
This type of prejudice-based violence needs to end, and people on Twitter are linking websites that detail how to help the Uyghur people.
