Amazon Prime’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Has Resumed Shooting Season 4
Amazon Prime’s comedic TV show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has resumed filming after it had stopped earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The show created by Amy-Sherman Palladino (who also wrote Gilmore Girls) starring Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Borstein, Tony Shaloub, Marin Hinkle, and Michael Zegen resumed filming for its highly-anticipated fourth season. Season three premiered on Amazon Prime just last year and concluded on a cliff hanger leaving fans unsatisfied and dying for more. Mike Sington, a self-proclaimed entertainment and pop culture expert, announced that the show is back in session on Twitter.

Just last week, the show took home four Emmys for cinematography, makeup, music, and sound-mixing. In total, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has won 20 Prime Time and Creative Arts Emmy awards since 2018. The show announced its recent victory on Instagram just after the last Emmy awards show.
At the Emmys last year, Borstein won for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Midge Maisel’s manager, Susie Myerson. She gave a powerful speech about her family’s Jewish heritage and encouraged other women to stand up against injustice and to speak out when something is wrong. In her victory speech, she said, “My grandmother was in line to be shot into a pit. She said, ‘What happens if I step out of line?’ He said, ‘I don’t have the heart to shoot you, but somebody will,’ and she stepped out of line. For that, I am here and my children are here. So, step out of line, ladies. Step out of line!” This call to action is more appropriate now than ever, as we continue to combat racial injustice, sexism, and the coronavirus.
The lead actress Brosnahan, who plays the lovely Midge Maisel, also hinted at the show’s resumed filming for the fourth season on her Instagram. She posted a picture of her in one of the elaborate costumes for the show just two days ago and promoted the importance of wearing a mask to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans have shared their excitement for the upcoming season of the hit TV show on Twitter.
