What You Need to Know About the Upcoming VP Debate
We will get to see Kamala Harris and Mike Pence debate the most important topics facing Americans today, in less than a week.
If you watched or heard anything from the first presidential debate you probably heard something along the lines of CNN’s news anchor Jake Tapper, when he said “That was a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck.”

A lot of Americans took to Twitter during the debate to voice their concerns as they watched the speakers argue for an hour and a half.

While some immediately turned the TV off, others stayed the entire time, looking forward to the VP debate between Pence and Harris.
Ok, I’m actually looking forward to the @VP Pence – @KamalaHarris vice presidential debate. That should be VASTLY different than the first presidential debate.

The VP debate will be held on October 7—next Wednesday—in Salt Lake City. It will start at 9 PM Eastern or 6 PM Pacific. The event maintains a structure of ten minutes for nine specific topics that have yet to be announced. We can assume however those potential topics could be the management of COVID-19, protesting and racial tension, healthcare, and the potential Supreme Court nominee.
Imagine seeing one of the most exciting, intense, thrilling, and exhilarating Vice Presidential debates of all time in the year of 2020.

Fingers crossed, the etiquette for this debate should be more appealing to viewers and should allow each speaker a better chance to articulate their arguments. Harris has proven her debate chops when she ran in the Democratic Primary where she was once considered Biden’s chief rival for the candidacy. Pence won’t be able to cover up the facts or beat around the bush on topics like COVID-19—he is the Head of the White House’s COVID-19 Task Force, after all. Harris made Brett Kavanaugh cry during his confirmation hearing, just in case you forgot.
Do not let tonight’s debate distract you from the fact that Mike Pence has to debate Kamala Harris soon. Yikes

This will be the only time we are going to see these two in such a public, confrontational setting before the election. This is a chance for you to watch and decide for yourself who the better candidate is. The debate will be available on every major news network such as ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC; you can monitor streaming sites for coverage as well.
