‘Gilmore Girls’ Is Back for a Thanksgiving Special Event

Warner Brothers/The CW

Grab a cup of coffee and get ready to watch the return of Gilmore Girls on The CW.

Back in 2005, Gilmore Girls aired for the first time. The show’s iconic mother and daughter relationship was such a hit that they continued it for seven seasons and even did a series reboot called A Year in the Life. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the premiere, the reboot will have a four-night event.

The event will take place leading up to Thanksgiving, from November 23-26, and will air on The CW Network so fans can stream it within the 30 days timeframe.

In the first season of the miniseries, we saw the mother and daughter duo take on everything that life threw at them, including the struggles after Yale and relationship problems. There was one episode corresponding with a season that gave the fans a sneak peek at what our favorite girls were up to since we last saw them.

The show’s creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who are husband and wife, were able to tie up every loose end on the show the way it was originally supposed to end. In the final moment of A Year in the Life, Rory discovered that she was pregnant.

As we take a trip back to the small town of Stars Hollow, the fans will finally get the chance to explore what happened after the words, “Mom, I’m pregnant” were spoken on the gazebo. This cliff hanger left fans in shock and finally, after four years, the subject will be brought up again to the excitement of many.
