Taraji P. Henson Will Host a New Facebook Watch Mental Health Talk Show ‘Peace of Mind with Taraji’
Actress Taraji P. Henson will host a Facebook Watch talk show to focus on bringing attention to mental health issues.
Henson is no stranger to the big screen, being a Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee with major roles in several TV shows and films like Baby Boy, Hidden Figures, and Empire. Now she’s hitting a different screen with a new talk show on Facebook Watch.
Henson’s new show, Peace of Mind with Taraji, will focus on mental health struggles, specifically in the African American community. The show will feature co-host Trace Jade Jenkins, the Executive Director of Henson’s Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation.
I love me some Taraji P. Henson
She’s dope for that new talk show— ᴇʀɪᴋᴀʟᴀʀᴏɴ (@_E_The1) October 5, 2020
Henson’s foundation works to break the stigma surrounding mental health in the African American community. The foundation was named after her late father, who endured his own struggles with mental health after serving in the Vietnam War. The foundation provides scholarships to Black people pursuing careers in the mental health field and offers mental health services to students in underserved communities.
Omg so exciting can’t wait!

This year, Henson also began offering free virtual therapy services for African Americans struggling during the pandemic. The first five sessions were open to anyone, and she accepted donations to offset the costs for any additional sessions.
Peace of Mind with Taraji will feature guests ranging from celebrities and mental health experts to everyday people. Fans are proud of the actress for using her platform to bring awareness to mental health issues to help those struggling and need guidance.
