Darren Barnet Replaces Charles Melton in Upcoming Netflix Original Movie ‘Love Hard’ With Nina Dobrev
Netflix recasts for their new film, Love Hard.
Darren Barnet, known for his Netflix original Never Have I Ever, is now cast in the new film, Love Hard, starring Nina Dobrev. Originally, Charles Melton was cast as the lead male role; however, due to various conflicts with his schedule with the hit drama television series, Riverdale, he had to step down.

Joining Barnet and Dobrev will be Jimmy O. Yang, Harry Shum Jr., James Saito, Mikaela Hoover, and Heather Mcmahan. Danny Mackey will write the film along with screenwriter Rebecca Ewing. Also, Hernan Jimenez will direct the film alongside McG and Mary Viola, who will help produce it.

The film is about a girl from Los Angeles who falls in love with a guy she met on a dating app. The only problem is that he lives on the East Coast. She decides to fly to him and surprise him for Christmas, only to find out that he has been catfishing her the whole time. However, she ends up meeting someone else in the same town, and the guy who catfished her offers to set them up as long as she pretends to be his girlfriends for the rest of the holidays.
