Famous musicians like Taylor Swift are auctioning off their instruments in a COVID-19 charity auction.

The guitar up for grabs is a black J-180 2018 Gibson acoustic guitar and includes an inscription from the artist herself. It will also come with five personalized Swift guitar picks in its case. This item is expected to go for up to $40,000 during the auction.

This guitar is actually the same one that Swift used recently on stage during her performance of “betty” during this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards.

The virtual auction event is called NASHVILLE: An Auction To Benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund. It is being put on by Christie’s auction company. During this year’s ACM Awards show, country artist Keith Urban expressed the importance that togetherness plays in the country music community. “Country music is many things to many people, but at its center, at its core, at its heart, I believe it is about community,” he says.

More notable items being auctioned for this relief fund include the guitar that Bradly Cooper played in the 2018 popular film A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga and a dulcimer studded with Swarovski crystals from the classic country artist Dolly Parton.

We love that Swift and so many other well-known artists are getting involved in this incredible auction with the aim to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online auction will be held from October 15 through October 29. You can check out Swift’s guitar and everything else up for auction, here.
