Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous co-conspirator and number one supporter, has lost her bid to keep her intimate deposition a secret.

Epstein, an American financier and convicted sex offender who passed away last August, is mainly known for procuring underage girls for sex trafficking for numerous years. His partner in crime, British socialite Maxwell, will be tried next year. It was announced on Monday that she lost her appeal to keep court documents pertaining to Epstein’s case secret.

The federal court has reportedly decided that the public should have access to documents pertaining to Epstein’s infamous case. Maxwell’s documents were originally ordered to be unsealed months ago, in July. This aids federal prosecutors, as they are aiming to prove that Maxwell lied in her 2016 deposition. The deposition is from a defamation case (that is now settled) between Epstein and alleged victim Virginia Giuffre.

In regards to their decision about the unsealing of Maxwell’s documents, according to Forbes, the Second Circuit wrote that the Southern District of New York, “did not abuse its discretion in rejecting Maxwell’s meritless arguments that her interests superseded the presumption of access.”

Maxwell is currently being charged with luring and transporting minors for Epstein’s well-known sex ring and is also being charged with perjury for lying under oath in her 2016 deposition. As of today, Maxwell is being held in a Brooklyn federal lockup without bail and has always denied the allegations and charges placed against her.
