A new collaboration between IKEA and Ben Gorham, founder of Byredo’s luxury fragrance, fashion, and beauty empire, has created a line of candles called Osynlig. This new launch of fragrances focuses on making you feel at home.
Ben Gorham states, “The way your home smells is very emotional and plays a huge part in how you feel while you’re there. It isn’t just about things being functional and practical, it’s the place where you come together with family and friends and make memories.”

Osynlig limited-edition candles feature 13 different fragrances that range from floral, wood, to fresh-smelling categories. These candles retail from as low as $4.99 to as much as $24.99. This is incredible for those who love Byredo products which normally retail for around $85.
“Something as non-physical as a fragrance needs a tactile context”, says Lina Vuorivirta, Designer at IKEA. Each candle is put into a ceramic pot that is glazed with two different colors representing the ingredients that it was made from such as cypress, fig, tobacco, and honey. The best part of the pot is that when you are done burning the candle, you can use it to store small objects or as decoration around your home.
