Take a Look at This Year’s Best Celeb Halloween Costumes
Our favorite celebrities weren’t afraid to take risks with their Halloween costumes this year, and many went all out to celebrate the holiday.
This Halloween was a bit different, and many opted out of their usual parties and celebrations in order to stay safe amidst the ongoing pandemic. Even though many parties were canceled, that didn’t stop people, including celebs, from dressing up as their favorite characters and making the most of this unusual Halloween.
The Weeknd
The Weeknd didn’t disappoint again this year as he paid homage to Eddie Murphy’s character Buddy Love in the late 90’s film The Nutty Professor. Last year, the singer stunned everyone with his jaw-dropping Joker costume.
Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X nearly broke the Internet with his Nicki Minaj costume. The “Old Town Road” singer dressed up as Minaj in her “Superbass” video and he nailed it. Lil Nas X was recently outed as a huge Nicki Minaj stan, and that was clear in his Halloween tribute to her.
Ryan Destiny
Ryan Destiny recreated an iconic photo of Lauryn Hill this year, and her remake looks almost identical to the original. Fans couldn’t believe how similar the two photos were, and many are claiming she had the best costume this year.
Saweetie
Rapper Saweetie recreated Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” single cover and music video by dressing up as all three members of the girl group.
Even though Saweetie nailed her Destiny’s Child look, she didn’t stop there. She also stunned as X-Men’s Mystique for her second costume.
Hailey Bieber
Bieber dressed up as Sarah Paulson’s Nurse Ratched from the new Netflix series in a “very Ratched Halloween.” She even recreated a few pictures on what looks like a hospital floor as she channeled the character.
Ciara
Ciara’s costumes seemed to be endless with her days-long Halloween celebration. The singer shared four different Halloween looks this year, and they were all right on point. Not a hair was out of place as she paid tribute to female rappers Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.
Ciara’s hubby Russell Wilson also joined in as the two recreated Busta Rhyme and Janet Jackson’s “What’s It Gonna Be?!” music video. Ciara nailed all four looks and it’s hard to pick a favorite.
Marsai Martin
Actress Marsai Martin chose to recreate Rihanna’s “Truth” Vogue magazine cover this year. It’s nearly impossible to tell the difference between her version and the original, with the identical headlines and the word “truth” written across her face.
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade
Perhaps the cutest family costume this year was the Wades’ S’mores costume, with Union as the Hershey’s chocolate bar, Wade as the graham cracker and their daughter Kaavia as the marshmallow. Fans loved their cute and creative costume idea, and the family made sure to stay safe by rocking their masks!
Bella Hadid
Supermodel Bella Hadid transformed into a real-life Roy Lichtenstein painting. Lichtenstein is known for his famous pop art, which has made for great memes in recent years. Hadid channeled Lichtenstein with her creative costume, and fans are loving it!
Hadid also had a second costume as DC Comic’s Poison Ivy, which was another hit!
Tabria Majors
Model Tabria Majors may have had the most creative and thought out costume this year with her #BEYLOWEEN tribute. Majors paid homage to Beyoncé by recreating her most iconic performances and music videos, from “Crazy In Love” to Coachella. She even created a 10-minute tribute video performing as Beyoncé, which went viral on Twitter. There’s no denying Majors’ hard work and dedication this Halloween, and there may be no way to top it.
I think we can all agree that the celebs did an amazing job with their Halloween costumes, whether they stayed in or went out, and they made the most of this unprecedented holiday. Please remember to stay safe, continue social distancing, and wearing masks.
