‘Count Every Vote’ Protests Have Broken Out Across the Country Amidst Trump Calling to ‘Stop the Counting’
As the 2020 race to the White House narrows, voters across the nation demand that every vote be counted as President Trump tries to stop ballot counting.
The Presidential election has been highly anticipated for four years, and voters are anxiously awaiting results to find out who the next President-elect is. After President Trump called for an end to ballot counting, protests broke out in several major cities as people demand to have their voices heard. Protestors have taken to the streets in Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and elsewhere.

Protests in favor of President Trump’s request to stop counting the votes have also broken out in Phoenix and Detroit. Pro-Trump voters, some armed, have gathered outside of polls and threatened workers to stop counting the ballots. These protests have erupted as swing states including Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, and others are still counting remaining ballots.

Celebrities have chimed in on Twitter to voice their support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and emphasize that every vote must be counted. Kerry Washington, Mariah Carey, Alyssa Milano, and Debra Messing are just a few. After giving a speech at a Biden rally recently, Lady Gaga has also tweeted her support for the campaign and to finish counting the votes.

Some states are releasing more of the results of their votes tonight, while others may take until Friday to finish counting all of their ballots.
