Roker said he decided to go public about his diagnosis in order to bring awareness, especially for African American men who are twice as likely to die from prostate cancer. Ladone and Brown discussed the disparities in diagnoses and deaths between Black men and their white counterparts and urged them to get their required checkups to detect the disease before it’s too late, especially since there are no symptoms in the early stages.
Prayers up for Al Roker. Another reminder for Black men to get regular checkups. Your physical and mental health are most important. https://t.co/gv6CQg8irE
