Fans around the world are sending well wishes to Jesy Nelson, who is taking a leave of absence after the release of the group’s sixth studio album, Confetti.

Nelson was not present during the finale of the group’s talent show, Little Mix: The Search, nor was she present when the group hosted the MTV European Music Awards on November 8. At that time, a spokesperson said that Nelson was feeling “unwell.”

In a statement on Twitter, her publicist Simon Jones, who also represents stars like Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, on November 17, stated “Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.”

Mixers were quick to reply to Jones with words of encouragement and love for Nelson.

Other musicians felt for her during these times and shared their love for her on Twitter as well.

Nelson, along with her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, formed Little Mix during the eighth series of The X-Factor in 2011, which the group went on to win in December of that year. Little Mix’s most recent album, Confetti, was released earlier this month and is the follow-up to 2018’s LM5.

Back in August, Little Mix was one of the groups to stand up to racism and sign the #NoSilenceInMusic open letter, which was also signed by The 1975, Yungblud, and Mabel.

We wish Nelson a speedy recovery, and can’t wait to see what else the group produces once they are back together.
