Marvel Studios is adding to its’ star-studded Hawkeye cast with the recent addition of Florence Pugh, Vera Farmiga, and more.

The news was initially reported by The Direct on Monday, with the reveal that Pugh was tied to the upcoming Jeremy Renner led show. The Black Widow actress is reportedly reprising her role as Black Widow‘s Yelena Belova for the series.

The rumors were confirmed by Variety on Thursday, with the accompanied reveal that The Conjuring star Vera Farmiga and Better Call Saul actor Tony Dalton are attached to the project as well.

This news comes after photos were taken of actress Hailee Steinfeld on set with Renner on Wednesday night. Equipped with a bow and arrow, fans were quick to link her to the fan-favorite character of Kate Bishop.

Variety noted that Farmiga would be appearing as Eleanor Bishop, the mother of Kate (Steinfeld), and Dalton will portray the MCU villain-turned-hero Swordsman, who is an early mentor to Hawkeye in the comics.

Renner, Steinfeld, Pugh, Farmiga, and Dalton will also be joined by Fra Fee, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon.

Pugh is set to make her first character appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the delayed Black Widow film, opposite Scarlett Johansson, which is currently scheduled to be released in May 2021.

Hawkeye does not currently have a release date, but we can’t wait to see this talented cast bring some of our favorite comic book characters to life. The series will stream exclusively on Disney+ when released.
