Billie Eilish Gives the Same Vanity Fair Interview for the Fourth Year in a Row

ABC/ ERIC MCCANDLESS

Billie Eilish reflects on this unprecedented year in her heartfelt fourth annual Vanity Fair interview.

Since 2017, Eilish has done an annual Vanity Fair interview where she answers the same questions on the same day of each year. This has become a running tradition and something her fans always look forward to, and Eilish even joked that she will continue it until she’s 90.

This year’s interview was a bit more special and candid than the rest because of how somber and life-changing 2020 has been for most of us. Despite having to cancel her world tour, Eilish says she’s grateful and aware of how blessed she is, considering the hardships many others have faced.

She also addressed body positivity and the negative comments she received after photos of her in a tank top recently surfaced online. Eilish says she’s proud of the message she’s continued to promote surrounding body image and the impact its had on those who look up to her.

Social injustice is another topic she touched on and the star insists she will never stop fighting for those affected by racism and police brutality. She wants to use her platform to spread awareness about important issues and hopefully help bring about change.

Fans are loving the interview and many have been counting down the days since the last was released. They’re proud of Eilish and happy to see her grow both personally and musically. Many are calling it the best interview thus far and Eilish even admits to being her happiest and most confident.

She even revealed that she’s working on 16 songs that she absolutely loves, and hopefully we’ll all get the chance to hear them soon. Be sure to go watch Eilish’s interview and reflect on this tumultuous year, as we look forward to 2021.
