Taylor Swift Lends Snippet of Re-Recorded ‘Love Story’ for Ryan Reynolds’ Match Ad

ABC

Taylor Swift has revealed a snippet of her catalog re-recordings with the release of a Ryan Reynolds’ ad, which includes the newest version of her popular song “Love Story.”

Swift shared the commercial on Twitter Wednesday morning, citing that Reynolds asked for her permission to use the newly recorded song for his recent Match.com ad.

In the post, Swift also shared that the rest of her re-recorded content is not yet finished, but that she is working hard to get it out to fans soon. “Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend [Ryan Reynolds] asked me if he could use a snippet of one for some LOLsome commercial he wrote,” Swift wrote. “Here’s a sneak peak of Love Story! Working hard to get the music to you soon.”

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Swift told the program that “Love Story” was the “most fun” to re-record out of her extensive catalog.

“So far, of the ones I’ve recorded, I think it’s been the most fun doing ‘Love Story’ because the older music, my voice was so teenaged and I sometimes, when I hear my older music and my older young teenage voice, it makes me feel like I’m a different singer now,” Swift said. “So it’s been the most fun to re-record ones that I feel like I could actually possibly improve upon the song.”

A release date for Swift’s re-recordings has not yet been revealed, but we can’t wait to hear Swift’s newly recorded music. In the meantime, we will be streaming folklore on repeat.
