Entertainment Weekly has revealed the final cover star of their Entertainers of the Year special issue, and it looks to be well-deserved.

Taylor Swift covers the popular magazine as one of the six picks that were previously announced on December 1. Entertainment Weekly withheld Swift’s cover until Tuesday morning, surprising fans with the reveal.

The singer, who released the massive quarantine hit album folklore, graces the cover donning Stella McCartney from head to toe. The magazine honors Swift for being able to offer some solace to fans who were struggling with the on-going pandemic.

Swift was able to bring comfort through her music, which quickly became the most purchased album of the year. The “cardigan” singer was recently nominated for six Grammy awards for her work on folklore.

For the cover story, Swift disclosed that there were only a limited amount of people who knew she was working on the album before its surprise release in July.

“The only people who knew were the people I was making it with, my boyfriend, my family, and a small management team,” Swift said.

Swift mentioned her past struggle with criticizing her old work prior to the release of a new album. The singer says this isn’t the same for folklore, as she finds that she is still proud of the album even months after the release.

“I have this weird thing that I do when I create something where in order to create the next thing I kind of, in my head, attack the previous thing,” Swift said. “I don’t love that I do that but it is the thing that has kept me pivoting to another world every time I make an album. But with this one, I just still love it. I’m so proud of it. And so that feels very foreign to me. That doesn’t feel like a normal experience that I’ve had with releasing albums.”

Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year special issue hits newsstands on December 18. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Swift.
