The K-pop boy group was announced as Entertainer of the Year year today by Time Magazine.

BTS receives the outstanding title as this year’s Entertainer of the Year. With that being said, the septet was given the spot on the cover of the latest edition of Time Magazine. The K-pop boy band was dressed in neutral suits, accompanied by bold stares at the camera.

The announcement was made today with positive statements made by writer Raisa Bruner. She wrote how BTS is “not just the biggest K-pop act on the charts. They’ve become the biggest band in the world – full stop.”

The group members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, were interviewed by the magazine and discussed their success and gratefulness for their massive fan base, BTS ARMY. Their fans are beyond happy and supportive of Time Magazine’s decision.

“There are times when I’m still taken aback by all the unimaginable things that are happening. But I ask myself, “Who’s going to do this, if not us?'” Suga told Time.

“We’re not sure if we’ve actually earned respect. But one thing for sure is that (people) feel like, OK, this is not just some kind of a syndrome, a phenomenon. These little boys from Korea are doing this,” added RM.

The group also touched on their appreciation and connection they have continued to have with their fans throughout COVID-19. “I always wanted to become an artist that can provide comfort, relief, and positive energy to people,” J-Hope said. “That intent harmonized with the sincerity of our group and led us to who we are today.”

Congratulations to BTS on their achievement, and their constant love and the strong connection they have built with their fans.
