Apple Unveils New Airpods Max, but the Headphones Come at a Hefty Price
Apple has just released the Airpods Max, their new over-the-ear headphones that come with a nearly $600 price tag.
Apple is back with a new headphone this holiday season, but this time they’ve ditched the wireless in-ear design we’re used to. Their latest release, the Airpods Max, is a stylish over-the-ear headphone being sold for a whopping $549.

The headphone is described as having high-quality sound and noise cancellation with a unique, modern design. Unlike the first Airpods, the Airpods Max comes in various colors, including pink, green, and sky blue.
Apple is known for its expensive luxury technology, from their $1000+ iPhones and Mac computers to their $800+ iPad Pro, so the Airpods Max price tag comes as no surprise to many. Like other Apple products, the new headphone is being described as overpriced and unnecessary, and some aren’t feeling the design.

Many Americans can’t fathom spending so much on the Airpods Max, especially during an ongoing pandemic. People are even joking that the upcoming $600 stimulus check being debated by Congress is enough to buy the new headphone.

Even though many flocked to social media to express their disappointment, the original AirPods and several of the latest iPhone models received similar reactions. Still, they ended up being extremely popular among consumers. Despite the backlash, the Airpods Max sold out quickly, and new delivery times aren’t expected until March 2021 at the earliest.
