Actress Nafessa Williams Soon To Release Athletic Line ‘Y-Fear’

35-year-old actress Nafessa Williams is launching a unisex athleticwear line, ‘Y-Fear’ on February 8.

Williams has portrayed Missy in Black and Blue, Jade in the 2017 series of Twin Peaks, and the first Black, lesbian superhero Thunder also known as Annise Pierce in Black Lightning. Williams is also an activist. She penned an open letter to Hollywood on E! about the importance of including Black people in every branch of the entertainment industry.

Williams is a stunning ambassador to Rhianna’s lingerie line Savage x Fenty. 

She has lifestyle vlogs as well as health and beauty tutorials on her YouTube channel which has 35.3k subscribers. Williams is also a social media influencer with 600k followers on her Instagram and 43.6k followers on Twitter.

Her apparel line Y-Fear utilizes black and white for a sleek, minimalistic design. The Instagram for Y-Fear currently shows three items available: a sweatshirt, a long sleeve shirt, and sweatpants. The black sweatshirt has a white square on the front with Y-Fear written horizontally in black across it. The long sleeve shirt has the logotype written down both sleeves in white. The black sweatpants have Y-Fear written in white vertically down one side.

While the athletic line for Williams is new, the brand logo is not. Last year, Williams hosted an introduction to acting class at the Fearless Dreamer Workshop which was held in Philadelphia on March 7 and 8. The black and white logo for Y-Fear can be seen from a banner at her table in an Instagram post on March 13.

While this idea has taken at least a year to develop, Williams appears to have been in the process of creating her brand for some time. Her slogan for Y-Fear is “Your Fears And Egos Aren’t Real” encouraging people to overcome the doubts and mental hurdles they have put in front of themselves.
