iCarly fans are ready to laugh out loud again. The show follows Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove, Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy, Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress), and Spencer Shay (Jerry Trainor). Carly and Sam start an internet show, with Freddie as the cameraman, that quickly becomes popular among the media. These teenagers’ lives are anything but normal as they attempt to deal with the newfound popularity while navigating the insanity that is their teenage lives. Spencer, Carly’s older brother, takes on the role of her guardian, yet makes audiences laugh as he is most times less mature than his younger sister. The quirky teenage trio has brought laughs to many for years and now will continue to do so with its addition to Netflix.
In the iCarly theme song “Leave It All to Me,” Cosgrove sings, “And it’s all real / I’m telling you just how I feel” — Cosgrove singing those lines rings as true today in 2021 as they did back in 2007: This is all real and it is happening.
