Britney Spears Sends Update to Fans in the Wake of ‘Framing Britney Spears’
Four days after the premiere of Framing Britney Spears, the latest offering from FX’s The New York Times Presents…, Britney Spears seemingly offered a message to her fans in response.
While Spears has yet to directly respond to the documentary, of which she had zero part in producing, she did share a three-year-old clip of one of her performances. Spears posted a clip of “Toxic” paired with a message saying she loves “being on stage,” but she is taking the time “to be a normal person.”
Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories !!!! We all have so many different bright beautiful lives 🌹🌸🌷🌼!!! Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens 📷✨ !!!!

In the back half of the post, Spears reminds her fans that “each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories,” and to remember that “no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens.”
Her response comes after her boyfriend, Sam Asghari commented on Spears’ on-going battle with her father, Jamie Spears in a post on Instagram Stories. In a text post, he wrote that it was “important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.”
Take as long as you need, @britneyspears! As long as you’re happy and doing what you want to be doing. pic.twitter.com/AtOgsWra5k

Some of Spears’ fans believe Spears may have not crafted the message and that someone who works for her father actually controls the singer’s social media accounts. The skepticism is in result of Jamie Spears micromanaging his daughter’s life.
Britney Spears letting us all know she’s taking time to learn and be a normal person is the best birthday present honestly.

Spears’ social media manager, Cassie Petrey, denied the claims in an Instagram post. Petrey also mentioned that Britney is not leaving secret messages asking for help as some fans speculated.
Framing Britney Spears is a documentary detailing Spears’ rise to superstardom and her current battle for control over her father’s role in her conservatorship. The documentary highlights the role the media played and explains how the #FreeBritney movement started and what they want to accomplish. You can stream the documentary now on Hulu or FX.
