Disney+ Announces a Delayed ‘Loki’ Premiere Date
At the Television Critics Association Winter (TCAW) press tour, Disney+ announced the premiere date of its highly anticipated original series, Loki.
Even though Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige announced back in December 2020 that Loki would premiere in May, the show’s premiere date is officially June 11. The show is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Phase Four and will consist of six episodes.
Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki began in 2011’s Thor and quickly became a beloved character in the MCU, appearing in five subsequent films and will return in the upcoming series What If…?
Loki will follow the MCU’s trickster god, Loki Laufeyson (played by Tom Hiddleston), as he embarks on a second chance at life following the timeline manipulations in Avengers: Endgame.

The series will introduce fans to the Time Variance Agency (TVA), an organization that apprehends Loki after he escapes the custody of SHIELD.
Hiddleston is the only known returning MCU actor for the series. Joining Hiddleston is Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius M. Mobius, a TVA member, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, another TVA agent. Richard E. Grant, Sophia DiMartino, Sasha Lane, and Wunmi Mosaku will also star.

Michael Waldron created and wrote the series with Kate Herron as the show’s director. Stephen Broussard worked as Loki‘s executive producer alongside Feige, Waldron, and Harron.
At the TCAW, Disney+ also announced premiere dates for other shows, including Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Zenimation Season 2, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Monsters at Work, Turner & Hooch, Chip ‘n Dale Park Life, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 2, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, and Big Shot.
This series has gained serious popularity due to everyone’s love of the character himself. Fans can tune into Disney+ on June 11 to stream Loki.
