As well as this award, Soul also won for Best Animated Feature.
Tracy Morgan, who announced the award, butchered the pronunciation of Soul instead saying, “Sal” and this mess up quickly went viral on Twitter.

Trent Rozner and Atticus Ross are best known as composers for The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Mank. Rozner was also the musician and sole member of the band Nine Inch Nails.
This was Baptiste’s first Golden Globe nomination and win. Baptiste comes from a long line of New Orleans musicians. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 nominee, musician, bandleader, and composer. Baptiste has a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School and is the bandleader and musical director of The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert. He is the musical director for The Atlantic and the creative director of the National Jazz Museum. His last album Social Media has been ranked the number one Jazz album in the world by Billboard and iTunes jazz charts. He has even been nominated in 2021 for the Grammys, Critics Choice Award, and NAACP Image Award.
Pretty much expected Soul would win Best Animated Film, but it absolutely deserves Best Original Score!! Trent Raznor, Atticus Ross, and Jon Baptiste did a great job.
