This documentary will be told through Winehouse's mother, Janis. Her mother will be sharing the Amy the world never got to know, the daughter that she brought up. Janis had written a book about her beloved daughter in 2014 titled Loving Amy: A Mother's Story. A year later, the Oscar-winning film Amy had been released. Just six years later, this new documentary will be making its way into the world, and it is more pressing now than ever for Janis to tell her story, as she is bravely facing multiple sclerosis, a deteriorating disease that is affecting her memory.
