St. Vincent Shares New Track off ‘Daddy’s Home’ Titled ‘The Melting of the Sun’
St. Vincent has shared her second single off her upcoming album Daddy’s Home. The song is titled “The Melting Of The Sun,” a track that is co-produced by her frequent collaborator, Jack Antonoff. St. Vincent tapped many artists to help bring this 1970s retro New York City aesthetically-pleasing song to life. Antonoff played a few instruments on the song, while Kenya Hathaway and Lynne Fiddmont provided backing vocals. In addition, Doveman plays the organ on the track. Her latest single comes just a few days before she is set to take the SNL stage again for the second time in her career.

“The Melting Of The Sun” comes as a surprise to fans as she has not teased this single as much as “Pay Your Way In Pain,” the first single off the next album and the album itself. Before announcing Daddy’s Home, the follow-up to the Grammy award-winning album MASSEDUCTION, she shared a retro trailer and a mysterious hotline along with posters. This had amplified fans’ excitement at the prospect of getting new music from the talented singer. Last month, the singer dropped the “Pay Your Way In Pain” visual, sending fans to time travel back to the 1970s.
