The 8 Announces Release Date of Solo Album ‘Side by Side’
K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN’s member Xu Minghao, better known as The 8, has revealed the release date of his upcoming digital single album, “Side By Side.” This project marks SEVENTEEN’s third member to release solo music in 2021. The song is set to be released on Tuesday, April 13 at 18:00 KST.
On Wednesday, April 7, the band’s official Twitter account sent out a tweet sharing a promotional photo of The 8 alongside the release date and song title. The photo showcases The 8 looking down, dressed in a casual pantsuit and leaning up against a white sports car. The photo is taken in a garage-like space and the lighting gives off a red-orange tone.

The 8 is the k-pop group’s Chinese vocalist and the digital single is set to be released in two versions, in both Korean and Chinese. The single will be available for streaming on all major streaming platforms. “Side By Side” marks The 8’s third solo song release, following his tracks “Falling Down” and “Dreams Come True” which were released within the past three years.
